STEANS CENTER

Overview

The Steans Center develops mutually beneficial relationships with community organizations to engage DePaul students in educational opportunities grounded in Vincentian values of respect for human dignity and the pursuit of social justice.

Goals for This Project

The Steans Center partnered with Chicago-based community organizations and museums to allow students to design and build websites and digital resources over the course of a semester.

When student projects were incomplete or exceeded the scope of a semester, I was brought in to complete, refine, or extend the work to meet organizational needs.

My Role

UX Designer / Web Developer

Responsibilities Included

• Led projects from initial concept through full website development.
• Worked directly with community organizations to gather requirements and define project goals.
• Designed high-fidelity prototypes, UI components, and visual systems using Sketch and Adobe tools.
• Implemented UI redesigns and refreshed existing digital assets.
• Produced and edited video content and branded artwork to support storytelling and outreach.
